A SPOT IN THE BERG YOU WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER !!!
" I am a sister to the Bride's Veil Chalet ( www.bridesveilchalet.com ), so the directions to find us are the same, I just turn off the district road 2km beforehand and travel down towards the river for 1km, making us 3kms apart. Although our surroundings are very different, I can also sleep 8 people and supply you with all your needs bar your food and drinks, as I am also self catering, my appliances are also gas, there's a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a gas stove with oven, gas lights and hot water. So no need to drag your bedding, fire wood, braai etc with you, it is all here. I do not have the natural bush and water fall that my sister has but I am much closer to the river. You can also bring what ever pet you have with you, just please don't take your goldfish for a swim in the river, it might like it so much here that it won't want to go home with you !! Any furry friends do need to be given capstar tablets to kill any fleas, cause the moaning and groaning of the next family really does hurt my ears and I cannot blame them as I cannot scratch my tiles either, you do get my drift !! Well, I am here to give you a break from the city, to relax, exhale and enjoy the quietness. One little thing to be aware of please, the river is a mountain area river, so when you are lying with your bot in the sun on the hot rocks and it starts to rain extensively up the valley, you could get washed off the hot rock in your very own little tsunami !!! Cell phone signal is weak but available.
YOUR WELCOME COME INSIDE AND HAVE A LOOK.

We could not be more satisfied, exactly what we were looking for. Merlyn and Lynton are two beautiful souls making us feel welcome as if we never left home, a place we will hope to return to very soon. Hiking, star gazing and best of all - serenity- !! Thank you for a holiday we will have to cherish forever. Jean-Paul and Simone.
We had fantastic holiday. A typical Heidi-house, surrounded by majestic mountains, beautiful clear sky and best of all, magical serenity. We've enjoyed it so much here, we will definitely return again. We had a wonderful time together with our children, exploring the crystal clear pools for little fish and hiking and the games and the books, the fireplace made our time together extra special. We really enjoyed it here. Thank you for your hospitality and the time and value you've added to this cozy place. Sincere regards Steve and Helen Barnard plus Rubin, Henri and Karlien.
What a beautiful, peaceful spot. Exactly what we were looking for. Our Josie had a ball and we nearly ended up taking / adopting another friendly soul. We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be back. We have found our special spot in heaven. Thank you. Janet an Mike Mill.

This is the shortest route, but there is construction at bridges and the road.
Due to construction and poor detour signage I suggest that this is a day time road at present.
